Around the shop we’re not much into spring cleaning – unless you mean keeping our tools and surfaces ship shape. But I know that the homes we visit and clients that we work for, have not only beautifully designed homes, they have clean and organized spaces. So here’s some ideas and inspirational photos we rounded up from the best home and garden websites around.
1. Remove everything from shelves. (source)
2. Give away the unnecessary.
Parting with the giveaways is easier when you know they’re going to someone who’ll use them. You can donate to schools, libraries, prisons, senior centers, or hospitals. Or ship the gift of reading to the International Book Project (www.intlbookproject.org) or the Global Literacy Project (wwwglpinc.org); both foster community-based literacy initiatives in Africa, Asia, and other parts of the world. If you’d rather sell, try eBay’s www.half.com or a used-book store. – Source
